Joseph and Emilia Muchowski

Joe and his wife had two children, Helen and John, both born in Saskatchewan. In 1905 Joe and his family moved to Vernon where they heard about good farming area located in Lumby. They bought the farm off of Candide Quesnel and lived there. In 1907 the farm was sold to Peter Muchowski. It wasn't long after that, that the Muchowski's bought the Bear Valley ranch from Napoleon Bessette.

In about 1911 Joe and his family moved to Armstrong. Later they moved to Vernon and took over the Cameron Store. Back again to Lumby where they farmed in the Creighton Valley area. In 1918, they moved to Killiney and farmed an orchard for H. P. Hodges. In the meantime, Joe re-bought the Candide Quesnel farm where his youngest son, John, logged and farmed the land until 1921. Then his sister Mary, and her husband, Pat Tuohy, and her parents returned to farm it once again.
