  • Lived at Mission for a short period of time.


After moving to the Roman Catholic Mission, Many people turned Candide's attentions to taking up land in the White Valley area. He, his wife and 2 kids had good ties with the Christien family so they decided they would also move to the White Valley Area near their friends. They took over a pre-emption on Rawlings Lake Road on the shores of Rawlings Lake. Over the years they developed a prosperous mixed farm. They raised a large family, with 8 kids, Jerry, Leon, Teddy, Arthur, Oscar and Amy. Candide passed away in 1920 as a result of a farming accident.
