Jacob L. Wagner

BIRTH:  Unknown
DEATH:  Oct. 1953

  • Married Louise in 1910.
  • Sold and bought property in various places.

It was the 16th of August, 1910 when Jacob L. Wagner married Louise Grande Pearce. They were both born and raised in Ontario. Jake was a bridge erector and travelled extensively across Canada and was employed by the Hamilton Bridge Company before and after his marriage. About 1914 or 1915 the Wagners settled down and bought a farm on Shuswap Road.

In 1927 or 1928 they ended up selling the farm and moved into Lumby, where they bought a brown shingled house. Two or three years later they sold the house and bought another farm. Jaked died in October of 1953. Soon after that, his wife sold the house and rented a room or two from one of the church members until her death in October of 1961.

Their son, William, got married in 1944 and since then has lived in Toronto with his wife and two daughters. They have a summer home on beautiful Lake Mississagua, 130 miles north of Toronto.
