"These lines are clean but where the tool bit - where the knife cuts to the
centre, it's all broken off into little very rough pieces and that's because
the stone is grainy . . . Also if I were to cut against the grain although the
stone is very soft the knife would just bounce off the stone because it would
go into the grain rather than just lifting it up. Here's an example of a grain
piece here. That just jumped off because I struck it in such a way that the
grain was lifted and broke off."
