April 5, 1919 to March 26, 1990.

Born at Lake of the Woods on Alexander Island, Don Morrison resided for several years in Keewatin. He enlisted in the army in WWII and was wounded in action and returned to civilian life after receiving a Honourable Discharge. Mr. Morrison returned to Europe in 1987 with family members to hold the first Traditional Memorial Service for Native Veterans.

Don was a well respected Elder and spent many years working with people through the Addiction Research Foundation. He was called on to sit on numerous committees over the years in the Northwest Ontario area.
