Photos: Battle Harbour

Battle Harbour has been the site of a permanent settlement and has been used as a summer fishing station. During the early 20th century it was the largest settlement in Labrador. It is located on two islands which face each other across a narrow channel. In 1996, after years of rennovation, Battle Harbour was declared a National Historic Site and opened to the public.
