Bonne Esperance
Photos: Bonne Esperance
A major summer fishing station on the Lower North Shore of Quebec, the Bonne Esperance-St.Paul River area is situated about 32-48 km (20-30 mi) west of the Strait of Belle Isle, south of Forteau.
Even though is was a part of Quebec, the area was used by Newfoundland fishermen, particularly the Whiteley family, during much of the 19th and early 20th centuries.
