Photos: Exploits

The community, located on an island at the head of Notre Dame Bay, takes it name from the nearby Exploits River. Settled since the 18th century, Exploits was once a major fishing, ship building and trading centre, but went into steep decline in the first half of the 20th century. It no longer has a resident population.
