Newly completed Peace River Suspension Bridge on the Alaska Highway at Taylor, J.A. Roebling and Sons of Trenton, New Jersey who built this bridge were also the builders of the famous Niagara and Brooklyn Bridges. The first US Army camp outside of Dawson Creek during Alaska Highway construction was located here in South Taylor.
