Francis Work Beaton
Francis "Frank" Work Beaton was the last Hudson's Bay Factor in Fort St. John. He worked in the third, fourth and fifth posts of Fort St. John. The Beaton name originally had two t's in it but, as the story goes, Frank decided to drop one to save time when he wrote his name!
