The artists presented have all contributed to the Art Gallery of Ontario's Canadian Collection. The time period of the Canadian Collection centers around the creations of the
artists between 1700 and 1945. Each of the painters has been an
influential player in the formation of the Canadian painting industry through the contribution of his or her works.
