The Impressionist Tour
Impressionism was a style that was popular and
prosperous during the 19th century. It dealt with one question: How to
show 'real' colour? Old paintings, if you look at them, are known not to
show the same colours actually present in the scene. In contrast,
Impressionists tried to show the actual bright messy colours in all their glory. In this sense, the artists had a strong dedication to presenting nature in an accurate manner.
