General description

  • Writes adequately within predictable contexts of everyday needs and experience - mostly through memorized oral language stock: familiar words, simple learned phrases, basic tenses and structures.
  • Can copy or write down a set of simple instructions or a simple message.
  • Learner's attempts to creatively express personal experiences or reflections beyond the means of the memorized repertoire result in writing that is very difficult to understand for the reader due to transfers from the first language (L1) or other known languages.
  • Can fill out simple application forms and bank slips.
  • Can write a number of one clause sentences about self, family or other highly familiar topics and relevant personal experience (simple descriptions and narration).
