This rose was "Light yellow edged with pink, a universal favorite, and a magnificent grower... It is a fine exhibition variety, particularly in moist weather"... "breath of peculiar sweetness". "...additionally, it is of a superb shade of light yellow at the center, which enhances an ample border of rose-pink which appears only on the outer petals, where also may be seen patches of milk-white."
