1689 ----------------Francisan Church and Monastery of Our Lady of Angles
1786 ----------------Church built by Father Bourke
1787-1789 -----------St. Luke's Anglican Church was started in 1787 and finished by 1789
1829-1830 -----------Church built by Father Morrison. It was commenced in November 1829,
and finished in 1830.
1878-1904 -----------The present church of the Sacred Heart Parish built by Father Clancy. The
foundation stone was laid by Bishop Power in 1878, but active work did
not begin until Father Clancy did it in 1886, and the building was ready for
occupancy in 1889. It was completed and beautified by Rt. Rev.
Monsignor Reardon in 1904
