From left to right: Marika Katrushenko, Roman Dzioba, and Zirka Reshitnyk

We are a group from the Volodymyr Ivasiuk Plast 101st Troop in Ottawa. We have all completed Lesia Ukrayinka Ukrainian School in Ottawa, and this year we are completing Ukrainian Courses. Plast in Ottawa has a long history and celebrated its 50th anniversary, to which we entrust this project.
During the creation of this site we learned a lot of various skills:

  • how to form a web page,
  • working with graphics
  • how to organize materials.

Also, we learned many interesting and new facts from the history of Ukrainians in Canada, the history of Plast, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary in Canada. We were surprised at how many places in Ottawa are connected with Ukrainians and how large their contribution was to building of the Nation of Canada. Therefore, we named this site "Ukrainian Reflections".
We would like to share with you our work and we hope you will enjoy our project.
