Lethbridge: History of A Prairie Community

The history of southern Alberta is unique, interesting and involving. This site provides the story of this community in a virtual setting and has been designed to be experienced by a wide audience. Lethbridge: History of a Prairie Community has been presented in eight individual "exhibits". As you enter each exhibit you will learn about the railways in southern Alberta, coal mining, agriculture, irrigation, Lethbridge’s military tradition, industry, culture, and the people of the region. This site is not only a series of stories, but it is an experience for the eyes. Pictures and text have been mixed to provide an interesting story of one of Canada’s most colorful regions. Also included within this site is an extensive glossary, and a thorough curriculum guide so that teachers can easily present this site to school children of all ages.
