About the Project

A Digital Collection of Regina's Past to Present was sponsored by Industry
Canada and contracted to CBAS Internet Services in cooperation with
Hinterland Productions and the City of Regina Public Archives. The themes
and content of the project were chosen by the project team members
based on their own personal interests and experiences.

This project served four main purposes;

1) The first was to provide young people with practical experience in
      conceptualizing, researching and designing a website that highlighted
      Regina's history.

2) The second was to increase public awareness in the various materials
      held by the City of Regina Public Archives.

3) The third was to help grow Canada's multimedia industry.

4) The fourth and final purpose of this project was to create a website
      that assists in the preservation and promotion of Canada's heritage and
      culture.
