Inside the Human Body - The Respiratory System

So what keeps our blood flowing? I’ll give you a hint! It’s a big muscle that acts like a pump, which sits in the middle of my chest. You guessed it. It’s my heart.

What does a heart look like? It’s not really shaped like a valentine heart. Your heart is about the size of your fist and it sits in the middle of your chest, tucked in snuggly behind your lungs. Clasp your hands together. That’s the size of your heart! Squeeze your right hand and then squeeze your left hand. This is the way the heart pumps blood through my body!
