Engines:  1892 Albion Iron Works, two horizontal high pressure cylinders 16" wide x 72" long, rated at 17 NHP

Built in 1898, the second CALEDONIA received the machinery from the original vessel, showing just how powerful the old engine was.  Captain Bonser took command of the vessel, until Robert Cunningham hired him away from the Hudson's Bay Company in 1900 to command the MONTE CRISTO.  The CALEDONIA's new skipper was Captain Johnson.

The CALEDONIA worked on the Skeena until she was sold in 1907 to a Prince Rupert syndicate and was renamed the NORTHWESTERN.  In August 1908, she was wrecked at Mile 44 on the Skeena River out of Prince Rupert.  Her engines and fittings went to the OMINECA #126248.
