Built for the Casca Trading & Transportation Co. Ltd., the owners wanted to try the CASCA on the Skeena.  In 1901, she took one full load of freight up to Hazelton.  She was well-suited for work on the Skeena, but she had arrived late in the season and as freight was not plentiful at that time, she headed back to Victoria.  The CASCA never returned to the Skeena River.
