Renovations and Constructions

The College’s physical appearance evolved continuously throughout the years. Construction of new buildings and facilities had to be undertaken if the Eudist Fathers wanted to recrute more students. However, this was very difficult since the institution suffered financial distress on numerous occasions. In 1909, Father Chiasson decided to build a skating rink and a gymnasium for the students, and on March 31, 1910, the College installed its first telephone, which without a doubt improved its communication ties with the outside world.

The new stone building was named l'Aile Haché (Haché wing) in the honor of Father Haché, but was later renamed Édifice Dagnaud.
