Originally from Little Brook, Nova Scotia, Benoit Comeau died Decenber 9, 1995, at the age of 79. The former Collège Sainte-Anne student graduated in 1935 and in 1986, he received an honorary doctorate from his alma mater. He was elected member of the Legislative Assembly in 1967 and was re-elected three times. Thanks to his determination, Collège Sainte-Anne remained in Church Point. He was not only devoted to the College’s cause but also to the citizens of his district.
