Shoreline Vegetation of the Fluvial Section
There are four zones of aquatic littoral vegetation found in the fluvial section: 1) aquatic plants; 2) marsh; 3) wet meadow; and 4) swamp. The main plant communities that grow in each zone are listed below. Similar plant communities grow in the fluvial estuary, but the estuary has more brackish water plant species and marsh.
