Loyalists Arriving in Upper Canada

Loyalists were people who stayed loyal the the British Crown after the American Revolution. They thus decided to leave the United States and settle along the St. Lawrence, notably in today's Ontario province, the Maritimes and in the Eastern Townships in southern Quebec. Source: NAC/ANC.
