Where It's At Paint In

Where It's At Cartoon

Remember the days of Summer '68 when the young people of Ottawa got together in the Curl-O-Drome building at Lansdowne Park and turned its drab grey floor into a psychadelic work of art?
Well, that was Ottawa's first Paint-In and it kicked off the final preparation for "Where It's At No. 1," the youth program of the Central Canada Exhibition Association that went on to be voted the outstanding youth presentation of 1969 in North America.
"Where It's At" is back and presents "Paint-In No. 2" ... a chance for young people in the Ottawa area to again become artistically involved in their pavilion.
This year there are more than 50 areas inside the "Where It's At" building for creative art work.
Contestants need only bring their own brushes; the "Ex" will supply everything else.
The winner's of this year's Paint-in will find, as Norman Normal did above, that Paint Power can be fun and profitable. Some of the prizes to be shared by the winners are:
A complete six-month art course at the Ottawa Municipal Art Centre; a transistor radio; $50 in cash; 12 long-playing record albums, and a total of $65 in gift certificates from Ottawa stores.
Paint Power is what's happening at the "Where It's At" Paint-In from 9 a.m. Thursday, July 31st, to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, in the Curl-O-Drome Building, Lansdowne Park.
Judges, made up of artists, radio personalities and news-papermen from the Ottawa area, will announce the winners on Saturday, Aug. 2, at approximately 3:30 p.m.
