Toronto (Southeast from Parliament Buildings, Queen's Park)

Toronto, with a population of more than 250,000, is beautifully located upon the shores of Lake Ontario. Queen's Park, a magnificent stretch of greensward, surrounds the Parliament Buildings, and contains several monuments erected in memory of distinguished men and of historic events. The view from the Parliament Buildings includes many of the spires of the two hundred religious edifices which have caused the name "City of Churches" to be applied to Toronto.
