Back Harbor Viewed from Blockhouse Hill

One of Lunenburg's most beautiful attractions is the Back Harbor. This beautiful sheet of water, winding in and out, forms numerous coves and contains many beautiful islands, which delight and charm the tourist, and afford ideal spots for "camping out" during the summer months. Here we find the celebrated Backmans Beach, once the Camping Grounds of the Indians, and where many an arrow head has been found. Space will not permit us further to enumerate the beauties of this lovely spot, which nature has so lavishly endowed and which presents a scene of beauty unrivalled in the Province.
