Welcome to the Canada's Digital Collections site: Tea: A Journey! To move around the site, choose an item from the menu above. You can always click on the "home" link to return to this page.

Explore takes you through the story of tea, from its beginnings in Asia to its current form. Did you know, for example, that tea was once advertised as a cure for "the gripping of the guts, cold, dropsies, and scurveys"? Explore has been broken down into seven sections, represented by the seven numbers on the world map. You can progress through the story of tea in order, or you can jump back and forth to the sections that interest you.

journal markerAs you work your way through the site, you will see clipboard icons like the one at the right. Clicking on these icons will add items to your journal and, when you come back to visit the site in the future, your journal will remember what you added to it (requires Netscape 4.7 or Internet Exporer 5.0 or greater). Look at the about section for more information about how to use your journal and an FAQ.

The about section contains important copyright information, a bibliography, more detailed information on the journal and production credits.

activity markerThe teachers section contains lesson plans and links to the activities located throughout the site. The activities are also linked from the relevant sections of the site and are denoted with the apple icon, seen at the right.
