There were many community activities, including sports, band concerts, clubs, theatrical performances and celebrations.

 

The annual Dominion Day (now Canada Day) celebration was always a major event in Ocean Falls

Many people would go to the local church. Everyone was welcome, even if a church of their particular faith was not in the town.

Baseball was always a popular pastime.

Ocean Falls had one of the finest swimming pools in all of British Columbia. Many champion swimmers went on to sucessfully compete in the British Empire Games, the Pan-American Games, and the Olympics.
