Why are the four directions and the circle of life so important to the Indian people?
The four directions are important because each corner represents something different. For example, the East (yellow) represents peace and light, the South (blue or black) represents warmth and growth, the West (red) represents rain and power and the North (white) represents wisdom. The circle of life is very powerful because everything is done in circles; the earth is a circle as is the moon, the wind blows in whirls, the sun comes up and goes down and around and so does the moon, and the seasons change and come back again all in circles. This is why it is called the Circle of Life.
