Maria Jankovics graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Concordia University, Montreal, and has had more than 134 solo and group exhibitions since 1985. These include venues such as: Maison Meunier, Maison de la culture Mercier, Maison de la culture Notre-Dame-Grâce, Maison de la culture Gatineau, Maison de la culture Marie-Uguay, Centre Brancusi, and the World Trade Centre in Montreal.

Jankovics' work won first prize at Terres des Hommes and has been sold to collectors throughout Canada as well as in Egypt, Greece, Turkey and the USA. She continues to organize group shows for other artists through Studio M.

Since 1992, her work has crocheted borders done in collaboration with her mother, Alice Jankovics. Maria's œuvres is mainly figurative expressionism.
