Pursuing
a personal and artistic reflection on the notion of identity, Raymonde
Jodoin proposes a tête-à-tête with the human
being's interior.
The use of black and white, contrasts, sober lines, the banishing
of any superflous detail, brings out the intensity of her work.
Raymonde Jodoin obtained a bachelor's degree in Art History from
Concordia University (Montréal) and a bachelor's degree in
Fine Arts, majoring in painting from Nova Scotia College of Art
and Design (Halifax).
She has taken part in several solo exhibitions in the province of
Québec and Halifax as well as group shows and biennal exhibitions
in Québec and Ontario.
Raymonde Jodoin's works are part of major collections, including
Art Bank Collection of Musée du Québec and the Canada
Council for the Art Bank.
