: Domestic Work
Daily life in the rural areas at the beginning of the century
was in rhythm with numerous domestic tasks. From dawn until dusk,
men and women worked to improve and beautify their family's lives.
Lous-Émile was inspired by the skill and labour of the
women of the time in the creation of his scenes of domestic workes.

1: A passion, a talent, a work
From a simple marionette emerges a collction of 64 wooden sculptures
which bring alive the past with emotion. The artist experiments
with different processes of creation, from garden ornaments to
a rail convoy; from a bas relief model to a collection of sculptures
"ronde bosse".

2 : Daily Life
The representation of daily life constitutes one of the most fascinating
aspects of the work of the sculptor. The artist chiselled with
humour and tenderness the places, objects and events which marked
his childhood. A thousand details make the models alive and touching.

4 : Work on the land and olden time machines
From his memories of vacations in the country, Louis-Émile
reporduced with aparticular interest the life and agricultural
machinery of the period. Even more, his fascination for the mechanical
brought him to be interested in means of transport.
