Norma D. McColeman - Prince Edward Island

Norma Diana McColeman has 25 years of experience as a team leader, workshop facilitator, motivational speaker and leadership mentor in the areas of personal lifestyle wellness, employability skills, personal development and outreach counseling.

Norma is a college graduate, certified Life Skills Management Coach and trained in the United States as a professional image teacher.  She has received diplomas from Maritime School of Social Work, Dalhousie University & St. Thomas University.  As well, she has completed a two year program through the University of Prince Edward Island (Centre for Conflict Resolution) focusing on interest-based facilitation, conflict resolution & mediation skills.  Norma served three terms as a municipal Councillor from 2000 – 2010 in Summerside, PE.

Serving as family violence prevention Outreach Coordinator since 2000 with PEI Family Violence Prevention Services, Inc., Norma works directly with victims of domestic abuse and violence. In 2006, she was recognized as ‘Employee of the Year’ for her family violence prevention advocacy leadership.
