Darryl Gray, from Escuminac, Quebec, is a retired senior high math and science teacher, coach and physical education instructor. He is a former mayor and Federal Member of Parliament for Bonaventure-Magdalen Islands from 1984-1993. He presently is President and co-owner of Escuminac Design Inc., and works actively in community capacity building. He has monitored elections in Palestine, Ukraine, and the Republic of Georgia as well as being a member of the Former Parliamentarians Group.

Darryl Gray holds a Bachelor of Science in biology and chemistry from Mount Allison University and a Bachelor of Education from the University of New Brunswick.
