Prime Minister extends Chief of the Defence Staff appointment

NEWS RELEASE

Prime Minister Paul Martin today announced that the appointment of General Raymond Henault, Chief of the Defence Staff, has been extended for one year. General Henault was first appointed to the position on June 28, 2001 and has since served with great distinction. His experience and expertise will be invaluable as the Government of Canada conducts the international policy review.
