MINISTER DION RESPONDS TO THE PRESS
CONFERENCE BY MR. CLAUDE RYAN
OTTAWA, ONTARIO, February 6, 1998 – The Honourable Stéphane Dion,
President of the Privy Council and Minister of Intergovernmental Affairs,
responded in writing today to a press conference given by Mr. Claude Ryan on
February 3. This press conference concerned the Government of Canada's reference
to the Supreme Court with regard to a possible unilateral declaration of
independence by the Parti québécois government.
