Question and results of the 1992 referendums
Two referendums were held on October 26, 1992: one in all of Canada, except
Quebec, under federal auspices and one in Quebec under that province’s
jurisdiction.
Question asked in the 1992 referendums:
"Do you agree that the Constitution of Canada should be renewed on the
basis of the agreement reached on August 28, 1992?"
Results:
All of Canada, except Quebec: |
YES: 45.7%, NO: 54.3% |
Quebec: |
YES: 43.3%, NO: 56.7% |
