PRIME MINISTER TO RECOMMEND BY-ELECTIONS
FOR MAY 13, 2002

Prime Minister Jean Chrétien
announced today that it is his intention to recommend to Her Excellency the
Governor General that by-elections be held on May 13, 2002 in the ridings of:
Gander – Grand Falls in Newfoundland and Labrador
Verdun – Saint-Henri – Saint-Paul – Pointe Saint-Charles in
Québec.
