Launch of Strategis Web Site

Prime Minister Jean Chrétien will attend the launch of
Strategis, a major initiative from Industry Canada on Wednesday,
March 27.
Strategis, Canada's largest business web site, is a new
online information source which will provide Canadian small and
medium-sized firms (SME) with strategic information to help them
be more competitive in today's global marketplace.
The Prime Minister will also announce a three-year pilot project,
the Student Connection Program, which will employ up to
2,000 students to help 50,000 SMEs get connected to the information
highway.
The launch will take place at 12:15 p.m. in Salon E of the Ottawa
Congress Centre. The Prime Minister will make brief remarks at
approximately 12:25.
