Prime Minister announces changes in the senior ranks of the Public Service

Prime Minister Jean Chrétien today announced
the following appointments:
1. Ronald Bilodeau, currently Deputy Minister and
Associate Secretary to the Cabinet (Intergovernmental Relations),
Privy Council Office, becomes Associate Secretary to the Cabinet
and Deputy Clerk of the Privy Council.
2. Ian Glen, currently Deputy Secretary to the Cabinet
(Operations), becomes Deputy Minister of the Environment.
3. George Anderson, currently Deputy Secretary to
the Cabinet (Intergovernmental Policy), becomes Deputy Minister
(Intergovernmental Affairs), Privy Council Office.
Messrs. Anderson and Glen will be replaced in their
current positions at the Privy Council Office by:
1. Michael Horgan, currently Assistant Secretary
to the Cabinet (Priorities and Planning), who becomes Deputy Secretary
to the Cabinet (Intergovernmental Policy).
2. Morris Rosenberg, currently Assistant Secretary
to the Cabinet (Economic and Regional Development), who becomes
Deputy Secretary to the Cabinet (Operations).
The appointments of Messrs. Bilodeau, Anderson and
Horgan will be effective on August 12th, 1996 and those of Messrs.
Glen and Rosenberg will be effective on August 15th, 1996.
