Prime Minister Announces Appointments to Canadian Centre for Management Development

Prime Minister Jean Chrétien today announced the following appointments to the Board of Governors of the Canadian Centre for Management Development:
Ronald Bilodeau, Associate Secretary to the Cabinet and Deputy Clerk of the Privy Council;
Robert Giroux, President of the Association of Colleges and Universities;
Arthur Kroeger, Chancellor of Carleton University;
John Edwards, Former Special Advisor to the Secretary of the Treasury Board; and
Donald Savoie, the Clement-Cormier Chair in Economic Development, University of Moncton.
Created in 1991, the Centre is dedicated to enhancing public sector management capabilities, excellence in teaching and research into public sector management, and promoting a strong corporate culture in the federal public service.
Mr. Savoie's appointment is effective May 18, 1998. The other appointments are effective immediately.
