Prime Minister Announces Senior Appointments

Prime Minister Jean Chrétien today announced the following appointments:
1. Ian Green, as Deputy Secretary (Operations), Privy Council Office. Mr. Green is currently the Associate Deputy Minister of Human Resources Development and Vice-Chairperson of the Canada Employment Insurance Commission. Mr. Green replaces Morris Rosenberg who was recently appointed Deputy Minister of Justice and Deputy Attorney General of Canada.
2. Dennis Wallace, as Associate Deputy Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development . Since December 1995, Mr. Wallace has held the position of Assistant Deputy Minister, Veterans Services, with the Department of Veterans Affairs.
These appointments are effective August 4, 1998.
