PRIME MINISTER ANNOUNCES MOVER AND SECONDER
OF REPLY TO THE SPEECH FROM THE THRONE

Prime Minister Jean Chrétien announced today that MPs Massimo Pacetti
(Saint-Léonard-Saint-Michel) and Anita Neville (Winnipeg South Centre) will
move and second, respectively, the Address in Reply to the Speech from the
Throne.
The Speech from the Throne will be delivered by Governor General Adrienne
Clarkson in the Senate at approximately 2:30 PM, September 30, 2002. The moving
and seconding speeches will immediately follow in the House of Commons.

Massimo Pacetti
Massimo Pacetti was elected Member of Parliament for Saint Léonard -- Saint
Michel in a by-election on May 13, 2002.
Mr. Pacetti has earned a degree in Certified General Accounting from the
Ordre des comptables généraux licenciés du Québec, a Diploma in Public
Accounting from McGill University and a Bachelor of Commerce from Concordia
University.
Mr. Pacetti manages his own accounting firm and has worked as an auditor for
several prestigious firms. He is also a highly active entrepreneur, with
interests in restaurants, real estate, and telecommunications R&D.
Anita Neville
Anita Neville was elected as Member of Parliament for Winnipeg South Centre
in November 2000. She was appointed to the House of Commons Standing Committee
on Citizenship and Immigration and to the Standing Committee on Human Resources
Development and the Status of Persons with Disabilities.
Prior to her election, she was employed as an Economic Development Consultant
for the Province of Manitoba. She also served as Director of WORKFORCE 2000, a
provincial skills training program and Director of the Winnipeg Core Area
Initiative Employment and Training Program. A long-time member of the Winnipeg
School Division Number 1 Board of Trustees, Ms. Neville served her first five
years on the board as Chair of the Board and was a member of several standing
and ad hoc committees, including Chair of the Finance Committee.
