Prime Minister cancels trip to Netherlands and Moscow

Prime Minister Paul Martin has cancelled his trip to Apeldoorn, the Kingdom of the Netherlands and Moscow, of the Russian Federation, to participate in the 60th Anniversary of their liberation. The trip was scheduled for May 7-9. The Prime Minister has asked Her Excellency the Right Honourable Adrienne Clarkson, Governor General of Canada, to attend the ceremonies in his place.
The Prime Minister will attend the opening of the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa on May 8.
