[1] Following the defeat of the Government in the general election of 14 Sept. 1926. Meighen formally resigned on 25 Sept. and the Fourteenth Ministry took office the same day.

[2] King was also President of the Privy Council.

[3] Euler was appointed Minister of National Revenue on 31 Mar. 1927.

[4] Euler was appointed Minister of National Revenue on 31 Mar. 1927.

[6] Stewart was also Superintendent-General of Indian Affairs and Minister of the Interior.

[7] The Minister of the Interior was ex officio the Superintendent-General of Indian Affairs until 19 June 1930, when the Minister of Immigration and Colonization was designated by Order in Council to hold the office ex officio.

[9] The office of Minister of Marine and Fisheries was abolished and the offices of Minister of Fisheries and Minister of Marine created by Statute 20-21 Geo. V, c. 21 and c. 31 respectively. Both were assented to on 30 May 1930 and proclaimed in force on 14 June 1930.

[10] Cardin was appointed Minister of Marine on 14 June 1930.

[11] The Department of Mines was presided over by the minister of another department who was to be named by the Governor in Council and who was to be called "The Minister of Mines". During the Fourteenth Ministry the Minister of the Interior was named Minister of Mines.

[12] The office of Minister of Customs and Excise was abolished and the office of Minister of National Revenue created by Statute 17 Geo. V, c. 34, and assented to on 31 Mar. 1927.

[13] The Department of Health Act and the offices of Minister of Soldiers' Civil Re-establishment and Parliamentary Secretary of Soldiers' Civil Re-establishment were abolished and the office of Minister of Pensions and National Health created by Statute 18-19 Geo. V, c. 39, and assented to on 11 June 1928.

[14] Dunning was appointed Minister of Finance and Receiver General on 26 Nov. 1929.

[15] The Secretary of State of Canada was ex officio the Registrar General of Canada.

[16] King presided over the Department of Health until its abolition. He was appointed Minister of Pensions and National Health on 11 June 1928.
