PRIME MINISTER ANNOUNCES THE APPOINTMENT OF A DEPUTY DIRECTOR OF COMMUNICATIONS

Prime Minister Jean Chrétien is pleased to announce the appointment of Steven Hogue as Deputy Director of Communications.

Mr. Hogue has served in the Prime Minister’s Office since July 2001 as Special Assistant – Québec.

Mr. Hogue previously worked for the Minister of Fisheries and Oceans and the Minister of National Revenue. He has been a communications consultant in the private sector. Mr. Hogue has also held various positions with the Department of International Affairs in the Quebec government.

Mr. Hogue’s appointment is effective December 2.
