Prime Minister Jean Chrétien today was pleased to announce that Aileen Carroll (Barrie-Simcoe-Bradford) will serve as Chair of the Environment and Sustainable Development Committee.

Ms. Carroll replaces Joe Jordan (Leeds-Grenville) who was appointed Parliamentary Secretary to the Prime Minister in August.

Ms. Carroll joins the following Caucus policy Chairs:

Tony Valeri (Stoney Creek) - Chair of the Economic Development Committee.

John Godfrey (Don Valley West) - Chair of the Social Policy Committee.

David Pratt (Nepean-Carleton) - Chair of the Caucus Foreign Affairs and Defence Committee.
