Prime Minister announces appointment of regional Assistant Whips

Ottawa, Ontario
Prime Minister Jean Chrétien today announced the appointment
of four regional assistant whips.
Marlene Cowling (Dauphin--Swan River) will serve as Western Regional
Assistant Whip. Jim Jordan (Leeds--Grenville) will serve as Ontario
Regional Assistant Whip. Robert Bertrand (Pontiac--Gatineau--Labelle)
will serve as Quebec Regional Assistant Whip. Diane Brushett
(Cumberland--Colchester) will serve as Atlantic Regional Assistant
Whip.
The four regional whips will assist Chief Government Whip Don
Boudria and Deputy Whip Marlene Catterall in their duties.
